Harry R Darling, Jr., 64, of Killingworth, passed away at home on the morning of July 11, after a two-year-long battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 14, 1957, in New Haven.
Harry was an avid NASCAR fan, he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and making up songs to entertain them, and his dog Zeus.
Above all else, Harry loved his family.
Harry is predeceased by his father Harry Darling, Sr., and his sister Mary Powell.
Harry will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 36 years, Barbara; his mother, Elizabeth Rayner of Killingworth; his daughters, Jennifer Lussier and her husband Tyler of Crestview, Florida, Amy Darling and her husband Jeremy Walker of Firestone, Colorado, and Rachel Darling and her husband Patrick McMorran of Clinton; and his son, Richard Darling of Loveland, Colorado. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Evelyn, Alexia and Gage Lussier, and Aveline Darling-McMorran; his brothers Larry Darling, Sr., and Gary Darling and his wife Loraine; his stepbrothers and sisters; and his many nieces and nephews.
Harry will be missed for an eternity by his family and all the people he touched with his charm. He has left us with amazing memories that will be cherished forever.
