Frances Patricia LaRocque, 71, of North Haven, passed away at her home on May 2, 2021. Frances was born in New Haven on Aug. 8, 1949, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen Ford.
Frances graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1967, and went on to work at Nationwide Insurance for many years. She then went on to teach at the Whitneyville Church Nursery School, as well as The Windsor Shoppe, and completed her career by working at Arnold’s Jewelers until her retirement.
Frances was a breast cancer survivor and lived her life in dedication to her family. She could often be seen cheering at her children’s sporting events and loved family gatherings most of all. She was adored by her children and all of their friends and was known as the second mother to all of the kids in the neighborhood. She was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the Giants.
Frances is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis LaRocque; her three children Dennis (Pilar) LaRocque, Justin (Adam) LaRocque-Lopes, and Jessica (Robert) Kegler; as well as her precious grandchildren, Cohen, Genevieve, Isagani, Sebastian, Lucena, and Hiraya. Frances is also survived by her siblings, Marianne (Charles) Scully, Kevin (Gail) Ford, Luke (Kathy) Ford, Eileen (Paul) Honious, Denise (Dennis) Kelliher, Kate (Edward) Glazewski, Sharon (Jeffrey) Plourde, and Beverly (Michael) Wrinn; as well as innumerable loved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Frances also leaves behind a large group of lifelong friends, who loved her immensely.
Visiting hours will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 6 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery.
