Margaret “Peggy” (Foldy) Hart, 89, of Killingworth, wife of the late Robert J. Hart, died on April 24 at Middlesex Hospital with her family at her side.
Peggy was born in Niantic, daughter of the late Stephen Foldy and Marie (Iannone) Riccio.
Prior to her retirement, Peggy enjoyed working at Madison and Bridgeport schools in the cafeteria. She loved reading her mystery books and doing her puzzles. She really enjoyed family get-togethers, both with her children and grandchildren as well as the picnics in Aunt Louise’s backyard.
Peggy is survived by her son Robert Hart, Jr., and his wife Marjorie of Ansonia and daughters Nancy Clough and her husband Richard of Middletown and Phyllis Elliott of Groton. She also leaves four grandchildren, Ryan Clough of East Haven, Evan Clough and his wife Erica of Clinton, Sarah Butler Piscatelli and her husband Matt of Derby, and Ashley Elliott of Groton, and one great-grandchild, Drew Cyr.
Peggy leaves her brother Thomas Foldy of Bridgeport. She was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Naum, and a brother, Stephen Foldy.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 30, at State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, followed by a reception at the Elks on Maynard Street in Middletown.
