Lisa A. (Walker) Vitale, 49, June 11, 1971, God sent a beautiful little angel to earth and named her Lisa Anne Walker. Jan. 17, 2021, he called her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is now free of pain, flying with the angels and watching over those she loves.
Lisa graduated from Valley Regional High School in Deep River in 1989, and attended Southern Connecticut State University. She had a great sense of humor, a sharp intelligent mind, and a kind and beautiful soul. She loved the beach and warm weather and spent many years in Florida. She loved animals, was a hard worker and always put helping others before herself. She lit up any room she entered with her radiant smile. She never held a grudge or let anger rule her life. Her beauty, empathy, kindness, gentleness, and unselfishness made all who knew her feel blessed.
Lisa is survived by her father, Ronald J. Walker (Audrey) of Ledyard; her mother, Nancy A. Fanslau of Westbrook; her sister, Michele Fitterman (Brian) of Westbrook; aunts, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a multitude of friends.
Services are pending. A gathering to celebrate her life will be scheduled when health and safety allow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an animal shelter or animal rescue group. One of her favorites was Monkeyspack.com.
