Olimpia Melillo Fiondella, 76, of North Haven died peacefully on June 25 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her children by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Guido Fiondella. Olimpia was born in Alife, Province of Caserta, Italy on Jan. 23, 1944, to the late Marcello Melillo and Marianna Mennone.
She was the mother of Francesco Fiondella (Nicole) and Federico Fiondella (Dayana). She was the grandmother of Augustin Guido Davi-Fiondella, Fabrizio Fiondella, and Aurelia Fleur Davi-Fiondella. She was the sister of Michele Melillo (Annunziata), Raffaele Melillo, Emma DiChello (Michele), the late Maria Sasso, and Federico Melillo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her faithful canine companion, Snowy. Her death leaves its mark on many lives.
