Carolyn Cioffi of Guilford passed away Dec. 30 at Yale-New Haven Hospital at the age of 57. She is survived by her mother and best friend, Caroline Cioffi, of Guilford and brother Lawrence Cioffi (Joan), of Denver, North Carolina. Carolyn is also survived by nieces Laura Cioffi, of Chicago, Illinois, Julie Strong (Zachary), of Concord, North Carolina, and nephew Michael Cioffi (Abigail), of Chicago, Illinois. She was predeceased by her father Charles Cioffi. Carolyn is also survived by Aunt Anna Asta (Joseph) of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Uncle Anthony DiLello (Mary), of Great Falls, Montana. Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by many cousins and friends.
Carolyn was born in the Bronx, New York in 1962. She received a BS degree in biology and an MBA in management information systems from Iona College, New Rochelle, New York. Carolyn enjoyed a successful career in data management and business operations within the pharmaceuticals industry, holding management and executive positions at Bayer, Purdue Pharma, Neurogen, Molecular Neuroimaging, and Invicro.
Carolyn loved cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed combining these passions by taking cooking classes in Italy with her mom and friends. Carolyn celebrated life by making special meals for those she loved and by keeping family traditions alive. She was a wonderful story-teller and always made those around her feel special and loved.

Friends are invited to attend visitation services on Sunday, Jan. 5 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
