Ruth S. Taylor of Killingworth and longtime resident of Guilford passed away peacefully at home on May 18. Ruth was born on Sept. 9, 1926, at Yale-New Haven Hospital to her late parents Hazel and Earl Rosa.
Ruth grew up in Branford alongside her beloved sister June Laporte who predeceased her. Ruth had a zest for life and always made family gatherings special. Ruth shared her birthday with her first-born daughter, Sharon Cruz, with whom she resided. In addition to her daughter Sharon, Ruth leaves behind beloved son-in-law Richard Cruz. Her second-born daughter Darlene F. Doyle predeceased her on April 21 of this year.
Ruth was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and leaves behind a large and loving family who will deeply miss her. Known as “Grammy,” Ruth leaves her grandchildren, including Broden (Christine), Brandt (Nicole), Trevor (Jen), Jason (Elizabeth), Abigail (Kevin), and Taylor. She also leaves her great-grandchildren Kailey, Logan, Jacob, Rylan, Isabella, Leah, Maci, and Marley, loved very much. Ruth was devoted to her family and leaves behind a large legacy of people who loved her. She had a love for animals and their well being. She will be truly missed by all.
