Rose M. Consiglio Siniscalchi, 84, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Dec. 27 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her son by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Siniscalchi. Rose was born in New Haven on Sept. 23, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Maselli Consiglio.
She worked in the Display Department at the former Edward G. Malley Company of New Haven, where she met her husband, and later was a receptionist for Avanti Hair Design. Rose bowled on the former St. Barnabas Church Bowling League for more than 35 years and was a former Catechism teacher. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, writing, giving advice, and speaking her mind.
She was the loving mother of Joseph P. Siniscalchi and the late David J. Siniscalchi; and the sister of William (Linda) Consiglio, Anne Kossack, and the late Frances Massaro, Teresa Vischio, and Salvatore Consiglio. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews whom she loved unconditionally.
The visiting hours were Jan. 2 at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave. Her funeral procession left the funeral home on Jan. 3. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., North Haven. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery.
