Patricia (Gleason) Lynch, 89, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Nov. 17 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was born March 17, 1929, in New Haven to Daniel and Ann Mary (Early) Gleason.
Patricia is survived by her four loving children, Kevin Lynch (Karen Lynch) of Branford, Brian Lynch (Marie Lynch) of East Haven, Tracey Torello (Bobby Torello) of East Haven, and Matthew Lynch of East Haven. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ryan Lynch (Tracee Dolan), Jason Lynch (Jude Lynch), Victoria Lynch (Anthony Hayward), Antonia Torello, Michael DiBenedetto (Cheryl DiBenedetto), Theresa Iannotti, and Stacey Torello; along with ten great-grandchildren. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Lynch (2006), and two brothers, James and Daniel Gleason.
Patricia worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital and later retired from Leeway Inc., a skilled nursing home facility. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox and New York Giants fan.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, at which time her funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven, with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Patricia Lynch can be made to the Breast Cancer Program at Smilow Cancer Hospital.
