Michael F. Morgillo of Branford died June 22 at Smilow Cancer Hospital, New Haven. He was the beloved husband of 73 years to Eileen Squeglia Morgillo. Mr. Morgillo was born in New Haven, April 17, 1925, son of the late Luciano and Mary Morgillo.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. After the war, he owned and operated United Printing Services and Universal Printing until his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, of whom he was very proud for their military careers in the U.S. Army, Colonel Michael L. Morgillo (Elaine) of Freeport, Maine, and Major Thomas S. Morgillo (Lisa) of New Haven; and his granddaughters Catherine Morgillo and Ashley Niro.
Michael’s family would like to thank the fantastic nursing staff at Smilow in Guilford along with Smilow’s MICU 10 for all their assistance and compassion, and LaToya for all her help during his last few months.
The funeral left from the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford, June 26 for a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary Church. Entombment in St. Lawrence Mausoleum followed.
