Louise Carmel DiLorenzo DelloStritto, 80, of North Haven, beloved wife of Donald J. DelloStritto for 60 years, passed away on June 4 in Connecticut Hospice.
She was the loving mother of Donna (Gregg) Johnson of East Hampton and Ronald (Fiona) DelloStritto of Cheshire; the grandmother of Zachary and Luke Johnson and Neal and Mark DelloStritto; and the sister of Ann (Anthony) Fabrizio of New Haven, Anthony “Tony” DiLorenzo of Meriden, and the late Susan “Susie” Cocchiaro. She was the sister-in-law of the late Benito “Benny” Cocchiaro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Louise was born in Meriden on Sept. 7, 1937, daughter of the late Angelo and Michelina Ciarleglio DiLorenzo.
Prior to her retirement Louise was a secretary and switchboard operator for the International Silver Company of Meriden and secretary for Ryerson Steel Company of Wallingford for more than 25 years. She will be greatly missed by her family, including her husband and constant companion of 60 years, Donald. Besides being a loving wife and mother, she was an excellent bowler, pianist, incredible cook, tap dancer into her seventies, and number one fan to her grandsons. She will be fondly remembered by everyone she touched in her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial June 9 in St. Frances Cabrini Church. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. There will be no calling hours.
