Eleanor L. Parker, 96, widow of John B. Parker of Madison, passed away on Good Friday March 30 at St. Raphael’s Hospital. She was the daughter of Edson and Jessie Ives Leonard of Wallingford.
She was predeceased by her sister Edna Buza of Florida, and is survived by her sister Ethel Leonard of Madison, and 3 nephews, Raymond Buza and wife Susan, Peter Buza and wife Shahin, and Donald Buza and wife Maura, all of Florida. She also leaves 6 great-nephews, 2 great-nieces, 3 great-great-nephews, and 2 great-great-nieces.
She was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School class of 1939 and Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was employed by Southern New England Telephone Company until her retirement. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and its Women’s League, was an avid bridge player, and a follower of UConn women’s basketball.
