Lillian H. (Pinney) Chamberlain, 95, of Westbrook, passed away on Feb. 3 at Middlesex Hospital Hospice. She was born on Oct. 30, 1922, to the late Earle and Genevieve Pinney.
A lifelong member of the Westbrook Garden Club, she had many prized plants in her own gardens, some even used to make her jams, jellies, and preserves enjoyed by many. A well-known seamstress, she preferred working on slipcovers and draperies because “They don’t change sizes.” She was also a member of the Westbrook Auxiliary, where she enjoyed things like baking for the Fireman’s annual carnival. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved.
Lillian is survived by her son Guy and his wife Dorothy; her daughter Linda and her husband Gerald; granddaughters Ashlyn Chamberlain, Melissa Bailey, Dora Laundenslager, and Claire Chmielecki; eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Guy Sr.; sisters Louis Harmon, Alice Chase, and Arline McDanel; and grandchildren Laura, Stephan, Colin, and Gregory Chamberlain.
