Leucio DiBrigida, 82, of East Haven, beloved husband of Tecla DiPalma DiBrigida, passed away on Oct. 11 at his home. Leucio was born in San Salvatore Telesino Province of Benevento, Italy, on Dec. 1, 1934, son of the late Pasquale and Michelina Palmieri DiBrigida.
He was the loving father of Lena (Jerry) Fiondella of Northford, Sue (Joseph) Slane of East Haven, and the late Paolo DiBrigida. He was the grandfather of Angelo J. Ariana, Andrew Fiondella, and Joseph, Jonathan, and Giuliana Slane. He was the brother of Brigida (Jacque Segal) Catania of Hallandale, Florida, and the late Angelo DiBrigida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
Prior to his retirement Leucio was employed by Grand Light & Supply and Graybar Electric. Leucio served in the Italian Navy as a radio telegraph operator.
Leucio’s family would like to send a very special thank you to all of the medical staff at Smilow North Haven, Dr. Galante his primary care physician, as well as his home care nurses and the staff at the Guilford VNA. He truly appreciated all of the love and care you showed him and would want you all to know that.
His funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
