Julia Iaguessa Mangini, 92, of East Haven, beloved wife of 70 years to Felix M. Mangini, Jr., passed away on May 31 in Connecticut Hospice. Julia was born in East Haven on Feb. 12, 1925, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Bergozzi Iaguessa.

Prior to her retirement Julia worked in the cafeteria for the East Haven Board of Education and was an inspector for Turbine Components.

She was the loving mother of F. James (JulieAnn) Mangini of East Haven and the late Ann Michele and Mark A. Mangini. She was the grandmother of Louis J. and Elizabeth Ann Mangini; and the sister of Fran (Ann) Iaguessa of Branford and the late Rose Rabuano, Natalie Sanso, and John, Anthony, Richard, and George Iaguessa.

Her funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
