Gladys F. Perrelli, 92, of East Haven, died on May 22 at Connecticut Hospice. She was born in Norwalk on Dec. 30, 1924, to the late Clarence and Florence Bazile Anderson.
Gladys was a parishioner of and very active with St. Vincent de Paul Church. She was a member of their Ladies Auxiliary, as well as helping to count the weekend collections.
She is survived by two sons, Pat Perrelli of Denver, North Carolina, and his wife Linda, and Frank A. “JR” Perrelli, Jr., and his wife Ann of East Haven; a daughter, Pamela Colandrea and her husband Pat of East Haven; and her longtime companion Ed Smillie, also of East Haven. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kim, Anthony, and Christi Perrelli, and Tiffany (Jared) Knowles, Nicole Colandrea, and Ashley (Gary) Takacs; and one great-grandson, Jaxson Takacs.
A funeral procession left the East Haven Memorial Longobardi-Brennan Funeral Home May 27 for a Memorial Mass in St. Vincent de Paul Church. Interment of Ashes took place at East Lawn Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Friends called before the procession at the funeral home.
