Anthony John DeStefano, 59, of West Haven died suddenly on May 16 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born in New Haven on New Year’s Eve, 1957, to the late Robert V. and Katherine J. DeStefano.
Anthony graduated from Eli Whitney High School in 1975. He worked as a self-employed electrician for many years. He enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, and watching classic movies, especially Westerns.
He is survived by three sons, Daniel J. DeStefano of Bristol, Kevin M. DeStefano of Minnesota, and Anthony J. DeStefano, Jr., of North Haven; a daughter, Katie M. DeStefano of North Haven; a brother, Robert (Patti) DeStefano of East Haven; three sisters, Anna Marie DeStefano of Hamden, Michelle (Jeff) Green of Stratford, and Loree White of West Haven; a granddaughter, Lilly Rose DeStefano; and a very special niece, Caitlin M. DeStefano-Ray. He was predeceased by a son, David Anthony DeStefano.
