Victoria Ann Minore Riccio of Branford, age 67, entered into eternal rest on April 20 at her brother’s home in Guilford with her loving and devoted family by her side. Vicci was born on March 28, 1950, in Guilford to Philip and Theresa Raucci Minore.
She resided most of her life in Guilford and Branford, and was co-owner of Libby’s Excuse Room Café. Vicci fought a long, courageous battle with cancer and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves her beloved husband and partner of 45 years, Liberato (Libby) Riccio; her siblings JoAnn (Alex) Mizger, Paul (Elaine) Minore, and Terri (Bill) Fiondella; as well as two nieces, Rosemary Carbone and Marie Foss; and five nephews, Paul Minore, Alex and Michael Mizger, and Anthony and Christopher Fiondella. She also leaves nine great-nephews, three great-nieces, and one great-great-nephew. She leaves two stepchildren, Joseph Riccio and Elizabeth Riccio DeFusco.
Vicci also leaves many special patrons who frequented Libby’s for many years. She will forever be remembered for her love of family, seasonal and holiday decorations, her plants, her ability to sew and do crafts, her candor, and her impeccable hearing. Her favorite place was the beach, and she and Libby made annual month-long trips to Aruba for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents, Vicci was predeceased by her brother Saverio, her stepson James Riccio, her nephew Philip, and her in-laws Joseph and Elizabeth Riccio.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, on April 25, followed by interment at Alder Brook Cemetery, Boston St., Guilford. Family and friends called prior to Mass at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
