Suddenly on Jan. 7 James A. Mazzetta, 46, of East Haven went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born in New Haven on March 30, 1970, to Anthony and Elizabeth (Longfellow) Mazzetta.

He was the husband of Gena (Latela) Mazzetta; and the father and stepfather to Gabi Latela Mazzetta, Anthony Mazzetta, and Jared Latela. He was predeceased by stepson Vincent Latela. He was the brother of David Morcus, Michelle (Harry) Smith, and Jeff (Michelle) Mazzetta. Jim is also survived by step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, whom he loved so much.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
