Maria Jakubik Maciak, 81, beloved wife of Henry Maciak of East Haven, passed away Oct. 27 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Michal and Katarzyna Rozanska Jakubik.

She was the mother of Roman and Miroslaw Olewicz, both of Poland; Leszek Olewicz of Shelton; and Zdzislaw Olewicz of East Haven. She was the sister of Wladyslawa Kosko, Janina Chrostek, and Mieczyslaw and Kazimierz Jakubik all of Poland; Tadeusz Jakubik of Wilbraham, Massachusetts; and the late Leon Jakubik. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral procession left the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Oct. 31. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church.
