John T. “Rick” Riccio, 65, beloved husband of Deborah Nusdeu Riccio of Guilford, passed away suddenly Oct. 10 in Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Rick was a machinist for the former Wire Machinery Co. of New Haven for many years, and also worked for several other New Haven companies.

He was the father of Jeffrey (Amanda) Riccio of Clinton and Tracy Riccio of New Haven; the grandfather of David and Daniel Riccio; and the son of Roseann Milano Riccio and the late John A. Riccio. He was the brother of Michael Riccio of Madison and Andrew Riccio of North Haven.

Relatives and friends may call at the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Oct. 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and are asked to go directly to St. George’s Church in Guilford on Oct. 17 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial.
