Robert William Schildge, 57, of Westbrook passed away peacefully after a short illness on Sept. 20.
Robert was outgoing, likable, artistic, and a kind man. He was an avid Red Sox fan, loved fishing, and owned his own painting business. He graduated from the Morgan School in 1976, and had an associate of arts degree from Middlesex Community College.
He leaves behind his brother Rusty; his sister Robin; his fiancée Cathy “Cat”; stepmother Henrietta; stepsisters and stepbrothers Pat, Kathy, Nancy, Cindy, Patrick, and James; and his nieces and nephews Jason, Erich, Stephanie, Nicole, and Kaitlyn.
An outdoor memorial service was held on Sept. 25 at the Congregational Church in Killingworth, 273 Rte. 81, Killingworth. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Green Hill Rd., Killingworth. Following the graveside service the Celebration of Bob’s Life continued at June’s Outback, Rte. 81, Killingworth.
