Guilford

Christine M. Miller, 91, of Guilford died peacefully Aug. 2 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a brief illness. She was born Christine Buonocore on June 28, 1925, in Ischia, Italy.

She came to New Haven at a young age with her mother Maria and lived with her family by the ocean in Morris Cove. Together they ran a dance and gymnastics studio on Edgewood Avenue in New Haven, and then moved the business to Branford on Route 1. Christine moved to Sarasota, Florida, in the 70’s and became a real estate agent and property manager. She loved playing the piano, tennis, watercolor and oil painting, and was a fantastic cook.

She moved back to Guilford several years ago to be with the family, and is survived by her sister Resty Melaccio of North Branford; and brothers Ciro Buonocore of Branford and Louis Buonocore of West Harrison, New York. She leaves her loving children Cheryl Weymann and husband Ray; Jan Miller and wife Shaune; and Lisa Miller Smith and husband Richard; as well as grandchildren Victoria and Christina Smith.
