Judith J. Azevedo, of East Haven, died on Friday, May 6 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in New Haven on Nov. 13, 1946, to the late Nathan Harold and Mary Kephart Burdick.
Judith worked in the shipping department of Freelife International for 13 years until retiring in 2011. Prior to that she worked for the New Haven Coliseum. She had several hobbies, including crocheting, cooking, and watching soap operas, but her main focus was always her family.
She was the devoted mother of Michael Azevedo of Wallingford and Michelle Azevedo of Kent; a proud grandmother of Gabrielle Azevedo, and Nikolas and Spenser Johnson; and an adoring great-grandmother of Lyla Allen.
There was a funeral service at the East Haven Memorial Longobardi-Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends called prior to the service. Please visit Judith’s memorial page at easthavenmemorial.com and sign her guest book.
