Harry (Randy) B. Randall III, 67, of Old Saybrook, passed away on Oct. 31. He was born in Hartford, the son of the late Harry and Catherine (Weisner) Randall, and grew up in Larchmont, New York.
An industrial engineer, he worked in the defense industry for the majority of his career, most recently at Electric Boat Company in Groton. Extremely bright and inquisitive, he loved learning new things and was a self-taught artist, guitarist, photographer, and woodworker. Harry was a generous person and legendary storyteller who loved spending time with his family and friends, as they were always of the utmost importance to him. He will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Katherine (MacConnell) Randall; his son Scott Randall of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and his wife Diane and their three boys Jack, Charlie, and Henry; and his daughter Lisa Stephenson of Concord, New Hampshire, her husband Benjamin, and their two children Ryan and Emma. He also leaves his brother Jeffrey Randall of Richmond, Virginia.
Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. in Centerbrook on Nov. 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 7 at Saint John’s Episcopal Church, corner of Main and Cross Streets in Essex.
