Chris Pavlopoulos, 82, passed away Aug. 30. Chris was a longtime resident of Clinton. He was born Sept. 18, 1932, to Paul Pavlopoulos and Sophie Chicares in New Haven.
Chris taught at Deep River Elementary for several years and was a New Haven public school teacher for 25 years. He was a proud father and grandfather, loving husband, and good friend. Chris was proud of his Greek and Cypriot heritage and enjoyed visiting with relatives on the island of Cyprus.
Chris is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joanne M. Pavlopoulos; as well as his son Chris of Anaheim, California, daughter Penny and her sons Connor and Cooper of Yorba Linda, California, son Stephen and daughter-in-law Kristen and their son Gus of Cortlandt Manor, New York, and son Timothy and daughter-in-law Jennifer of Somerville, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Marie DiChello of Holiday, Florida.
The Funeral Service was held on Sept. 2 at The First Church of Christ in Clinton. Calling hours were held Sept. 1 at Swan Funeral Home, Clinton.
