Amedeo Ciaramella, 75, of East Haven, beloved husband of Ann Ciaramella, passed away on Aug. 31 at his home. Amedeo was born in Caiazzo Caserta, Italy, on Oct. 14, 1939, son of the late Antonio and Luigia Pannone Ciaramella.

Prior to his retirement Amedeo worked in the maintenance department of the Whitney Center of Hamden.

He was the loving father of Louis Ciaramella and Rita Coppola, both of East Haven; the cherished grandfather of Danielle Coppola; and the brother of Teresa Squelia of Italy, Christine (Ernest) Cimino, Joseph (Angelina) Ciaramella, and Stefano (Rosetta) Ciaramella, all of Hamden, as well as the late Dominic Ciaramella.

His funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Sept. 4 at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.
