Rev. Basilio H. Scofidio of North Haven passed away peacefully on Aug. 18 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Elvira Giaimo Zawadowski Scofidio. He was the son of the late Earle Marco and June May Matthew Scofidio.

He was Pastor of the First Congregational Church in Fair Haven.

He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and brother.

Funeral services were conducted in the Faith United Methodist Church, 81 Clintonville Rd., North Haven, on Aug. 25. Interment with full military honors followed in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. The North Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
