William Edward Clayton (Bill) of Deep River, passed away on July 14 at the age of 65. Bill was the second born of parents William Thomas and Rose (nee Romaneck) Clayton on June 30, 1950, and grew up in Portland.

He worked as a millwright for the Connecticut Carpenters Union Local 24. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife Carolann Clayton; his children William and Katie Clayton of Middletown and Nicole and Luca Morosanu of Simsbury; and his grandchildren Elizabeth, Marc, Jill, Natalie, and William.
