Jeff Hess died peacefully in his sleep at home on June 30. Jeffrey is survived by his wife Melinda (Winchell) Hess, Clinton; his daughter Lauren B. Hess, Waltham, Massachusetts; his brother Michael J. Hess and his wife Marcy and their sons Derrick, Duncan, and Donovan, Guilderland, New York; and several relatives in the Berwick, Pennsylvania, area. Jeff is survived by numerous friends who were lucky enough to have known one of the funniest, most selfless, loving, patriotic people one could possibly meet. Nothing made Jeff happier than music and he sang and played several instruments. After graduating from Gettysburg College, he worked in audio and stereo electronics, where he became known to some as an expert in his field and was an award-winning sales business representative/owner in a 40-year career. Per Jeff’s wishes, there is not going to be a formal ceremony, but an intimate gathering of family and friends in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.
