Phyllis T. Donnelly, age 76, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on March 8. She was a remarkable woman with courage and strength that was manifested time and time again over the years as she endured and beat life-threatening illnesses. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and loved her. She never complained even when she was not feeling well or in pain and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Her unwavering faith in God and the Bible and the promises it holds for the future of a resurrection on earth in paradise conditions gave her great comfort and hope.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years and the love of her life, Ralph Gary Donnelly of Clinton, her daughter Darla Allen and son-in-law Robert Allen Jr. of Clinton, and her grandson who was her inspiration through all her illnesses and who was the little love of her life, Zachary Allen of Clinton. She is also survived by her sister Arlene (Bunny) Probus of Colchester; her sister Virginia (Binni) Galgano and her husband Peter of Berlin; and sister-in-law Alma (Pat) Brown of Ivoryton. She was predeceased by her parents Alvin and Lillian Herbert and brothers-in-law Richard Donnelly, Charles Probus, and Reynold (Pete) Brown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She has left a void in the hearts of many and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service was held on March 14 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Westbrook. Burial will be private at a future date.
