Winnifred Poirot

Winnifred Poirot, 106, of East Haven, passed away Feb. 21 at the Mary Wade House. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles A. Poirot. She was born Feb. 8, 1909, in Hastings, England, to Louis and Elinor (Coxon) Ortner.

Winnifred was preceded in death by her husband and parents; her siblings Dorothy Laydon, Ethel Reilly, and Phyllis Munroe; and a grandnephew, John B. Laydon Jr. She is survived by her nephew John Laydon (Carla) of North Haven.
