12/30/2014 11:00 PMMichael James Walsh, 57, of Guilford, loving husband of Mary Weber Walsh, entered into eternal rest suddenly on Dec. 26. He was born in Bronx, New York, on Nov. 24, 1957, to Michael and Mary Hogan Walsh of Northford.
Michael worked for Metro-North Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 2010. Aside from his work, he devoted his life to being a wonderful husband, father, and son. He will be greatly missed by all.
He also leaves a cherished daughter Caitlin Mary Walsh. He was predeceased by brothers James and Kieran. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins, both here and in Ireland.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Dec. 31 at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford. Friends called Dec. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
