Winthrop Frederick Smith, 96, died peacefully Nov. 12 at his home in Guilford.

There will be a graveside service in the North Guilford Cemetery on Dec. 13 at 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of his life in the North Guilford Congregational Church at 1:30.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hawley Lincoln Memorial Funeral Service. Memorial contributions may be made to Shoreline Outdoor Education, 730 County Rd., Guilford, CT 06437, and the Hyland House, 84 Boston St., Guilford, CT 06437.
