Anna Esposito Criscio
Anna Esposito Criscio, 84, of East Haven, passed away Sept. 25 in Apple Rehab, Laurel Woods. She was the wife for 61 years of Pasquale L. Criscio. Anna was born on Wooster Street in New Haven, Feb. 3, 1930, daughter of the late Andre’ and Rosina Ciccarelli Esposito.
She was a secretary for the Knights of Columbus. She was a member of the St. Trofimena Society, the Ladies’ Auxiliary of Co. 3 EHFD. She loved her family, taking care of her grandchildren, Italian traditions, family values, and holidays.
She was the mother of Catherine Criscio Santanello and Roseann (Marc) Conte. She is the beloved nonie of Salvatore, Patti-Ann, and Andrew Santanello, and Elizabeth, Marc, and AnnaMarie Conte. She is also survived by two of her eight siblings, and four great-grandchildren. Anna’s family would like to express great thanks to the staff of Apple Rehab Laurel Woods for their compassionate care.
Her funeral procession left from the Iovanne Funeral Home Inc., 11 Wooster Place, New Haven, Sept. 29 at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Michael’s Church at 10 a.m. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visiting hours were Sept. 29 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Apple Rehab Laurel Woods in memory of Mrs. Anna Criscio.
