Ronald W. Morrison

Ronald W. Morrison, 85, a longtime resident of Ivoryton, died on August 5 at Aaron Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chester. He was the beloved and devoted husband of the late Aldonia (Pearsall) Morrison. Ronald was born in Christ Church, Barbados, son of the late Gadelder “Tata” and Eva M. (Best) “Lil” Morrison.

He emigrated to the United Sates at the age of 19, graduated from college in 1953, and went on to work for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years as a machinist/ technician before retiring. Ronald was an avid gardener and sports enthusiast.

He is survived by his stepson Michael Morrison; a brother, Edward N. Morrison, and his two sisters Muriel E. Chase and Cynthia E. Morrison, all of Barbados; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on August 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., in Centerbrook.
