Florence M. Heck, 97, wife of George C. Heck, Jr., passed away on August 4 at 7:40 a.m. Born on December 18, 1916, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Frank and Kate Maggio. She had resided in Clinton for 28 years.

Mrs. Heck was employed by New York Institute of Technology, retiring in 1985. She is survived by her son George C. Heck, III, and his wife Anne R. Heck; grandchildren Brooke T. Heck and Jonathan R. Heck; and great-grandchild Brittany M. Heck. Also surviving are her sisters Barbara Maggio and Jeanette Sokol and her brother Frank Maggio. She has many nieces and nephews. Florence is predeceased by her husband George C. Heck, Jr., and her sister Vivian Collins.
