Reynold (Rey) Gagnon of Branford


Reynold (Rey) Gagnon of Branford died on Aug. 11 at CT Hospice in Branford. Born in Fort Kent, Maine on Feb. 16, 1940, Rey was the son of Leo and Bernice Neace Gagnon. He was the husband of Janet Hoadley Gagnon of Branford, the father of Reynold (Rey) Gagnon Jr. (wife Wendy) of Clinton and Danielle Gagnon of North Haven, the step-father of Tracy Iasparra of Guilford and William Ryder III of North Branford, and the brother of Joanne Brock-Walker of Indiana, Shirley Thompson of North Haven, Conrad Gagnon of Baltimore, Paul Gagnon of Hamden, Norma Johnson of Indiana, and Karen Naggie of Middletown. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brittney Gagnon, Nicolas Gagnon, Brionna Gagnon, Kyler Alling, Dawn Ryder, Makenzie Haley, Autumn Iasparra, and William Ryder IV, and his great-grandchildren Jayvius and Giuliano Molina. He was predeceased by his sister Leona Wojcik.

He served in the United States Army and was a general contractor for many years and a resident of Branford for more than 30 years.

Friends may call the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford on Thursday for a memorial gathering from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Burial will be private.
