08/13/2013 11:00 AMIda Cappetta Sessa, 94, of Hamden, beloved wife of the late Salvatore Sessa, died on Aug. 11 in the Arden House. Born in New Haven on Dec. 11, 1918, Ida was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carolina DeFelice Cappetta. She was the loving mother of Carol DeNuzzo of Killingworth, Connie (William) Frandy of East Haven, and the late Joanne Gonsalves and Charlotte Sorensen. She was the sister of Carol (William) Mulqueen of North Haven and the late Jennie Bellelo and Anthony and Joseph Cappetta. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Prior to her retirement, Ida was an assembler for the Remington Steel Company.
Her funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Road, East Haven, on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
