William "Bill" Roberts, 81, of East Haven

William "Bill" Roberts, 81, of East Haven died on June 23. Born July 5, 1931 in New Haven, he was the son of Edward and Laura (Howe) Roberts. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Edward, Lyman, and Ralph Roberts, and his sister Aline Ferrico. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Barbara (Thomas) Roberts of East Haven, his children Carol DeSena (Joseph) of Northford, Pauline Suitor (Alan) of East Haven, and William "Billy" Roberts (Michelle) of East Haven, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Bill was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and later retired after 45 years of working with lumber in sales and purchasing. He was employed by Drazen then Thrifty and later, CT Reserve. Bill also served as Director of East Lawn Cemetery in East Haven for 10 years.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. in Old Stone Church, 251 Main Street, East Haven. Funeral services are in the care of Clancy Funeral Home, East Haven.
