Arthur Norman Lefebvre, 89, Clinton


Arthur Norman Lefebvre, 89, of Clinton, died at his home on May 31, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Marion (Cataldi) Lefebvre. Norman was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on May 15, 1924, son of the late Arthur J. and Florida (Liard) Lefebvre. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He had also been a computer programmer at Costco, and for many years worked for Allen Stationery Company in Providence, Rhode Island.

Norman was the exalted ruler for Westbrook Elks Lodge No. 1784. He had also served as treasurer and chairman of Bingo, and he was a member of the Northeast Elks Interstate Relations Committee. In addition, Norman was a charter member of the Clinton VFW, a member of the Moose Lodge of Madison, and he had been an usher at St. Mary Church of the Visitation for more than 30 years.

Norman was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. He was a hard worker, devoted to his family, and known to his grandson as “Mr. Fix It.”

Norman’s family is grateful to the members of Middlesex Hospice Homecare for the excellent care he was given.

Besides his wife of 57 years, Norman is survived by his son Robert A. Lefebvre and wife Darcee of Westbrook and his grandson Arthur Tyler Lefebvre. He was predeceased by his brother George and his two sisters, Gloria and Jeanette Guetuin.

Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton, on Monday, June 10, from 5 to 7 p.m.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Norman on Tuesday, June 11, at 11 a.m., at St Mary Church of the Visitation, Grove St., Clinton.  Burial with full military honors will take place in St Mary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex Hospice Homecare, 770 Saybrook Rd., Middletown, CT  06457, or to the Westbrook Elks Lodge No. 1784, P.O.
