06/03/2013 09:00 AMThomas Rupert, 58, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, formerly of Branford, died on May 27. He was the husband of Michelle Rupert. Tom retired in 2007 from Schuck Trucking of Pennsylvania. He enjoyed being a “Big Brother” for Michael and Jesse throughout their childhood, and he also enjoyed his time being outdoors, enjoying nature’s beauty, traveling, and spending time with his beloved companions, Sasha, Chance, and Lily. Tom was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Rhonda Butler and her husband Pete and Donna Rupert; his brother William Rupert; five nieces; a nephew; and his extended in-law family, the Parkes. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 6, from 6 to 7 p.m., with a memorial service at 7 p.m., at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford.
