05/31/2013 11:00 AMRobert E. Luden, 52, of East Haven, died on May 28. He was the husband of Hanna Marie (Sigmarsdottir) Luden. Robert was born in New Haven on Sept. 11, 1960, son of Annie (Mcentee) Luden of East Haven and the late Rogers Luden. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in Hawaii on a naval destroyer. He also had 27 years of service with Metro North, working on the railroad.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his son Robert Luden and daughter Emma Luden. In addition, he is survived by three sisters, Sandra Campagnuolo and her husband Vincent of Florida, Maureen Luden of Madison, and Patricia Luden and her husband George Roth of New York; a brother, Rogers Luden, Jr. of New Haven; and his father-in-law, Sigmar Mariusson (widow of Thordis Johannsdottir).
His family will receive friends from 2:30 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. His funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, at 10 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clare Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven. Burial with military honors will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.
