Jeannette L. Piscitelli, 85, Guilford, formerly of East Haven


Jeannette L. Bottiglieri Piscitelli, 85, of the Apple Rehab, Guilford, formerly of Massachusetts Ave., East Haven, died peacefully on May 14, at Apple Rehab.  She was the wife of the late Peter V. Piscitelli.  Jeannette was born in New Haven on Dec. 23, 1927, daughter of the late James and Anna Ferri Bottiglieri. She had worked in retail sales for many years, having last worked for Brook Fashions. 

The family extends a special “Thank You” to the staff of Apple Rehabilitation of Guilford and Jeannette’s caregivers, Patty, Sandi, and Louise, for the excellent care and comfort they provided.

Jeannette is survived by her children, Gina D’Agostino and her husband David of Hamden and Gwenna Pascale and her husband Nicholas of New Jersey; her granddaughter Marchela Pascale; and a sister, Dolores Fox of New Jersey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by seven sisters, Eva Berkowitz, Ida Carlucci, Mary Piscitelli, Anna Piascik, Clara DiCellie, Josephine Camarota, and Gloria McGee, and a brother, Frank Blair.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Monday, May 20, at 9:15 a.m., for a mass of Christian burial at St. Rita Church, Hamden, at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be Sunday, May 19, from 3 to 6 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital, Geriatric Unit, P.O.
