04/10/2013 02:00 PMLucille Grace Corsini, 63, of Guilford, died peacefully at her home on April 6, surrounded by those she cherished most: her family, grandchildren, and loving husband of 45 years, Michael William Corsini, Jr. Lucille was born in New Haven on Sept. 12, 1949, daughter of Angelina Sullo and the late Michael Sullo and proud elder sister of Mary Sullo.
Lucille was a Wilbur Cross High School alumna, class of 1967, and went on to pursue a career as a beautician. For many years, she enjoyed her own hair salon, Lucille’s Hair Styles, located on the Guilford Green. She then enjoyed work as an instructor for the School of Branford Hair and Cosmetology, also working at Stop & Shop and at Christopher’s Hair Salon. For the past seven years, she was employed by the BJM Corporation, which she loved and considered to be her extended family.
Lucille was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending summer days at the Guilford Lakes Beach with her grandchildren and also enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to cook and having family picnics for just about any occasion. Lucille’s love for her children and dedication to her family could never be measured. She will be missed immensely and her memories cherished forever. She will always be remembered as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of each and every family member and friend.
Besides her husband and her mother, she is survived by her sisters, Angelina Sullo and Mary Sullo; her three children, Michael Corsini and his wife Christine, Edward Corsini, and Laura Bomgardner and her husband Anthony; five grandchildren, Michael Corsini and his wife Lisa of North Carolina, and Mark Albo, Jr., Anthony Bomgardner, Jr., and Alexis and Gianna Corsini, all of Guilford.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 11, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to the Smilow Cancer Center, c/o Closer to Free Fund, PO Box 7611, New Haven, CT 06519.
