Francis B. Zaledonis, 81, Guilford
Francis B. Zaledonis, 81, of Mulberry Point Rd., Guilford, died peacefully at his home on March 23. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine Zaledonis. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on May 26, 1931, Frank had served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He also owned and operated Suburban Sanitation for many years, and he loved and served his community. Frank was a long time communicant of St. George Church in Guilford and a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 3928 and the VFW Auxiliary Post No. 7666 of Guilford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his beloved daughters, Alexa Zaledonis of Annapolis, Maryland, and Kathleen Zaledonis-Archer of Clinton; his grandson, Bryan Archer, of whom he was very proud; and his sister, Bernice Saylor of Nuangola, Pennsylvania.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford, on Tuesday, April 2, at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will take place in Westside Cemetery, Three Mile Course, Guilford. Friends may call on Monday, April, 1 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
