03/20/2013 02:00 PMEdward Leonard Stoor, Sr, 70, husband of Roberta Onofrio Stoor of Hamden, died on March 17 at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. Ed was born on April 9, 1942, son of the late Leonard and Irene Siwinski Stoor. He had lived in New Haven before moving to Hamden in 1973 and was employed by the New Haven Public Works Department for 37 years prior to his retirement in 1997. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward L., Jr. and Noelia Stoor of North Haven; a sister, Leonora DeLuca and her husband Richard of East Haven; and four grandchildren, Alexis, Zachary, Anthony, and Elias.
A prayer and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 10 a.m., at Beecher & Bennett, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
