Sandra Ferrucci Sandagata, 77, North Haven
Sandra Ferrucci Sandagata, 77, of North Haven, died peacefully at her home on March 10, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Joseph S. Sandagata. Sandra was born in New Haven on Oct. 4, 1935, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Zeidner Ferrucci. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Connecticut State University and her master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. She had been a music teacher for the East Haven, Tacoma, Washington, New Haven, and North Haven Boards of Education, later returning to and retiring from the East Haven Board of Education. Sandra was a member of the Musical Arts Society, Branford, and the Parkinson’s Association of Connecticut.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Stephen Sandagata and his wife Robyn of North Haven, formerly of Wallingford, and Glenn Sandagata of Wallingford. She is also survived by her grandson Nicholas Allan Sandagata and three step-grandchildren, Jonathan C. Lilien, Robert M. Lilien, and Brandon M. Lilien-Nass. She was the sister-in-law of Blakeslee and Marguerite “Peg” Ferrucci, both of North Branford. She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Michael Ferrucci.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Thursday, March 14, at 9:30 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Barnabas Church at 10 a.m., followed by burial in All Saints Cemetery.
