Blanca A. de Ocejo, 86, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of West Hartford and Madison, died on March 3 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was the wife of Jose Luis de Ocejo. Blanca was born in Rodas, Cuba, in 1927 and had been an accounting professional and national accounts analyst for Aetna Life & Casualty in Hartford for most of her career. She was foremost a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother ("Tata"). She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Her family is most grateful to her fantastic caregivers, Minerva Marrero, Sandra Moraes, and the staff of the Windsor of Palm Coast and Odyssey Hospice.
Besides her husband, Blanca is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Luis and Anne; her three grandchildren, Timothy, Corinne, and Christian; and her favorite pet, Halle. She is also survived by many relatives and close friends in South Florida and Connecticut.
Funeral services were held on March 8. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org). The Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, West Hartford, was in charge of arrangements.
