03/01/2013 12:00 PMClaude Virgulto, 54, of Branford, died on Feb. 24 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Claude was born in New Haven on May 20, 1958, son of the late Stanley and Ida Virgulto. He was a computer programmer analyst for the Norwalk Hospital, Caldor, and Perelli Tires. He was also an accomplished musician and artist, as well as being an enthusiast of the sport of fencing.
He is survived by three siblings, Mark Virgulto and his wife Lydia of East Haven, Marguerite Gambardella and her husband Vincent of Westbrook, and Stanley Virgulto and his wife Peggy of East Haven. He is also survived by his life partner Joann Amarone and his stepdaughter Krista Tullock, as well as 19 nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 1, at 10 a.m., at St. Vincent DePaul Church, East Haven. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park Rd., Suite 105, Middletown, CT 06457. The W.S.
